Storyteller Artist : Judy Lewis Dimensions : 2 3/8" Tall x 2" Wide x 2 1/2" Deep This is a beautiful hand coiled and painted storyteller by Acoma artist Judy Lewis. Judy is part of a very well known family of sisters that include Marilyn Ray and Rebecca Lucario. This storyteller has three children with her. T are two girls and one boy on the storyteller, along with one cat, a butterfly and a ladybug. Two of the children are sitting on the storyteller's shoulders, with the other child on the storytellers legs holding the cat. The storyteller is wearing a black dress that is draped over one shoulder and is painted on the bottom with traditional designs. Her hair is pulled into buns on the sides of her head. the three children are each wearing a slightly different colored shirt, all with the tint of red/orange. This piece is filled with great detail! Judy does a wonderful job of adding the small details that really make a piece eye catching. Judy and her sisters are well known for their colorful pieces. This storyteller is in good condition with no scratches, nicks, or cracks. It sits straight on any flat surface. The bottom is signed by Judy.
