Aconitum 1907 antique botanical print Art Nouveau Isabel Adams ready-mounted Originalantique colour botanical print (from 1907) of various British wild Aconitums, Aquilegia, Delphinium, Larkspur, Monkshood. Custom mounted ready to frame. From a hand-lettered watercolour painted in somewhat Art Nouveau style by the prominent Birmingham Arts and Crafts artist-botanist, Harriet Isabel Adams. The picture is accurate and well-detailed, but also wonderfully fluid and naturalistic, creating a striking image with no whimsy. Adams shows the flowers, and also the leaves, seed heads, roots and seasonal stages of each plant. Great decor item for the shabby chic or country cottage look, or gift for a gardener.
