Adams China Titian Ware Royal Ivory. Here is a magnificent large platter in an ivory color with raised leaves, fruits and berries on the border. It is backstamped: Estab. 1659, Adams, England, Titian Ware Patented #xxxx. It is quite hard to make it all out but the mark is shown on pg. 147, mark b, in Kovels book of marks. This would have been produced in Turnstall, England, (Staffordshire). The little pits that you may see on the backside are actually incised numbers: #6,7,8 and 14. A great platter that sells for over $80 at a well known china replacement center!
