Adams, English Scenic Pink Older, Creamer - 1890's Antique Up for sale is this very RARE, antique creamer from Adams China in their older English Scenic Pink pattern, which dates to the late 19th century (circa 1890's). Key difference between old and new English Scenic Pink: old pattern shows cows; newer, more recent pattern has horses. Maker Adams China Pattern Name/Number English Scenic Pink - OLDER Size 10 ounce Height: 4 1/8" Width: 3 3/4" Length: 5 1/8" Color The creamer is off-white with pink (We think it's more maroon.) decor. The older version of the English Scenic Pink pattern is easy to spot because it shows cows, not the horses depicted on the newer version of the pattern. Markings English Scenic WARRANTED STAFFORDSHIRE ADAMS ENGLAND Item Condition Excellent This item is in very excellent with no cracks, crazing, fleabites or stains. The glaze on the bottom of the foot has been worn off, but otherwise shows little sign of prior use. (See last pic.) Photo Comments Pink (maroon) marks visible in the photos are all under the glaze during the decorating phase of manufacturing. Pic 5 - There is a gap in the decor at the top of the handle, which is probably from applying the transfer to the handle. The trim inside the rim, where the handle connects, also shows where transfers met. Pic 7 - Tiny black dot on the foot appears to be under the glaze. The red marks just to the right of center are also under the glaze. Pic 8 - About 1/2" and 1" right of the center of the spout, there are 2, barely perceptable, vertical lines stemming from decorator applying transfers, not from wear. Think our price is too HIGH?
