Adams England Est 1657 Hand Painted Calyx Ware Platter 16" x 12 3/4 "This is a very beautiful hand painted platter from England. Adams has been in business since 1657 and has used various marks. This particular mark was put into use in 1920. I do not know how long the mark was used. But the platter has been very well cared for and is in great shape. The close up photos show the flow of the blue color under the glaze on the front and back of the platter. The hand painted flowers are in blue and pink and the edge is trimmed in gold. Each of the corners show a very small amount of wear or rubbing of the gold. But t is very little wear and normal for this type of piece.Please email with any questions. Thanks for Looking!
