Game Manual provided in electronic format. Set up instructions and Reception checklist provided. The Addams Family Pinball Machine - Game description "Now t's some `thing' special in pinball!" The Addams Family pinball machine, Bally trade name, was released by Midway Mfg. Co., a subsidiary of WMS Industries, Inc ., in March 1992, and designed by a special team at Williams led by Pat Lawlor, a long term veteran of pinball concept design. Larry DeMar helped with the design, and art work was created by John Youssi . The game is based on the popular movie theme "The Addams Family" , featuring the actual voices of Raul Julia (Gomez) and Angelica Houston (Morticia), stars of the movie. Many of the special effects sounds can be directly traced to the movie. The Addams Family features animated displays that shows nifty cartoons and wide array of sound effects; the playfield is made to resemble TAF home, including stairways, electric chair & the box that "Thing" slept in. Soon after the game was released, it became the world leader as the best and most popular pinball machine ever made, with sales figures that smashed its nearest rival. A combination of ramps, tubes and moving objects, multi-ball features, with 4 flippers and game controlled flipper and magnet, makes for a very complex but entertaining machine which remains extremely popular to this very day!
