interesting early 20th century folk art clock having a New Haven Maywood case and movement with all extraneous exterior ornamentation removed from the case, including the dial, set into a larger hand-made wooden case made from oak with entire surface decorated with spit twigs in the Adirondack style. The clock has the original 8-day time only brass spring driven movement and pendulum with original back board with printed paper label reading 8-Day Maywood Time Piece New Haven Clock Co. New Haven, Conn., U.S.A.... Black dial with split twig Roman numerals, hour and second hands also in split twigs, all in original old varnish finish, 17.25` x 7.4` x 35` high.
