Amazing WWII period cigarette stamp book, 1936. Adolf Hitler , Bilder Aus Dem Leben, Des Fuhreres.. Kampf unis Dritte Reich . This large scrapbook-like album is filled with black & white photo stamps that were apparently collected when buying cigarettes. All in German. " c. 1936 by Cigaretten-Bilderdienit, Altona, Bahrenfeld." Measures 9.5 x 12.25". Cardboard red cover w/white spine, embossed gold lettering. Front & back cover, 133 interior pages, each filled w/collectible stamps that illustrate the book. All stamps are present and of photo quality. Book is in very good condition: some wear to corners of covers, slight yellowing to pages, musty smell, former owner's name on first page (Veteran of the Battle of the Bulge who recovered this book in Germany). Includeds former owner's hand written note identifying the book as "souvenir captured from Germans in World War II. Amazing piece of military & world history -- a fine example of government propoganda. See "sellers other items" for a similar book, Kampf um's Dritte Reich .
