This toy belonged to my husband. When he was very small he lived in Germany on an army base. He thinks his mother purchased it there for him. He's 50 and his brother is 54. The basic parts are tin. There is a furlike material on the foxes face, tail and hands. I think his eyes are glass. His clothes are felt.He's carrying what looks like a cage with a chicken in. I'm guessing there was a chicken head that came out when it was wound up. The place to wind it is on the side of the cage.I don't have the key.The fox has a wheel on one foot and the other foot is attached to a metal part that goes into the cage. The cage has 2 wheels on the bottom. I don't know if it works as I don't have a key that fits to test it. Schuco-Patent MADE IN GERMANY is imprinted on the bottom of the cage. His right foot has Schuco-Patent imprinted and his left foot has Made in Germany imprinted on it. Aside from the missing key and chicken head this item is in good condition. There's rust or brown paint on the wire that forms his shoulders. His felt outfit is slightly soiled. The fur around his right hand is coming unglued.
