Circa 1880s Victorian scrapbook, contains a mix of 200+ items including 90 advertising Trade Cards, (some with cats & animals, others with product pictured) plus Album Cards, a few Reward of Merit cards, Religous Cards, Scrap Art, Cut Outs, Calling Cards, etc. and TWO 1887 era Die Cut Tobacco Scrap BASEBALL PLAYERS (which are pictured in the baseball card ref. book "Classic Baseball Cards" by Frank Slocum). Both DETROIT players measure approx. 2" X 3", are die cut & embossed & are identified along the lower edges: J.C. ROWE, SHORTSTOP, & C.H. GETZEN, PITCHER. (Moderate faults are present incl. a small scuff, minor edge wear & glue stain, still a very rare Tobacco Co. giveaway & highly prized - see Scan). Other trade cards include a nice SANTA CLAUS, plus several advertising MEDICAL / QUACK MEDICINE PRODUCTS, 5 HEISELS IDEAL GUM CARDS (Chewing Gum - see scan), COFFEE, JEWELERS, BROADHEAD DRESS GOODS, AYERS, etc. The scrapbooks covers are present but detached, the spine is gone & a few pages are loose & chipped. Individual items which are glued into the album are for the most part in G+ to Excellent condition, though some cards along the edges have expected faults. Seller has not attempted to soak off or remove any item & is sold intact as found.
