Denslow., [ Note: all the editions on the internet are listed as first editions dated 1916., our edition is dated 1911 and the TRUE FIRST EDITION!!]., Chicago , N.K. Fairbank Co., 1911. Very good+ Softcover 12mo, about 7 inches wide, in pictorial white wraps staple bound. 55 pages. An advertising booklet for Fairy Soap. Each of Denslow's color illustrations of historical events, 26 of them, use a bar of soap as an element. The cover illustration does not have a bar of soap. Each photograph is captioned with a 4-line verse, and the events of U.S. history are explained, each in a short paragraph. This booklet is in remarkable condition with light edge wear and soiling; rubbing and a light crease on the rear cover. The inside is a little toned. The binding is sound. The color illustrations are bright and clean, no odors. All 1916 so called first editions, listed between $150-250 !! this is a good and very scarce advertising booklet.
