This exuberant ebonized wood and white painted picture framedates from the late19 th century (ca. 1880) and is in excellentcondition, although it does have a small (but not at all distracting chip) on the top, center projection (see picture). The opening measures 6 ¼ by 8 ¼ inches.This frame is in excellent condition, considering its age (1880s).I would like to caution bidders, however, that this antique frame is not pristine. It does have minor scratches and dings. I have added a close-up of the area containing the chip (mentioned in the original description). It is on the right side of the center projection. It is not distracting. I have also added a slightly larger version of the original picture.
