When activated, Sam the Semaphore man comes out of his shack, the semaphore lowers, and the train stops. When the button is released the train starts back up, the semaphore raises and Sam heads back into the shack for a cup of coffee or whatever he does while in there. The base measures about 5 by 6 inches. The controller button is missing and is not included. This item has been quick bench tested and is operational. The instruction manual is not included.
