Operation Market Garden - Battle of Arnhem cover signed Red Devil JS50/44/12b RAF cover dual numbered AF17 as part of the Airborne Forces series commemorating Operation Market Garden the Battle of Arnhem in September 1944. The artwork shows the Horsa gliders and parachutists landing at Arnhem and the Victoria Cross in the centre, also shown are the five Victoria Cross Holders from the Battle which were L/Sgt Baskeyfield VC (2 South Staffs), Lt Grayburn VC (2 PARA), Flt Lt Lord VC DFC (271 Squadron RAF), Capt Queripel VC (10 PARA) and Maj Cain VC (2 South Staffs). The cover bears BFPS 2407 postmark showing Pegasus Horse for Arnhem. The cover has been flown in a Lynx helicopter and dropped by parachute by the Red Devils parachute team and signed by Stu Smith of the Red Devils team (his name does not appear on the flight details).
