YES- I did win a Black ESSENCE Award. This is beautiful Zena. Her name is from Africa. (BEAUTIFUL) I made this true gift with LOVE and CARE. Everyday is a gift, that's why it is called the present. I know she will make someone happy.. She is one of a kind. Handmade by doll artist Linda Rollins.From the Artist: Hi. my name is Linda Rollins. I started hand making dolls over twenty years ago. I was a care taker to all of my elders and young family members. I wanted to spread LOVE everywhere with my true and rare gift. When I make your special doll, I put LOVE, CARE, and INSPIRATION in them. Each face is hand painted on with non-toxic acrylic paints. I hand stuff the body with a soft polyester fiberfil. The hair and all head wear are hand sewn on. I also hand design the outfit and shoes on each doll one at a time. As you can see, i put the up most time and passion into making my RARE dolls. I give each doll a positive name. I then sell each doll and a portion of the proceeds goes to a non-profit organization to help with cancer, homeless, school supplies ect... anywhere my gift can become a blessing. Special Features: Zena is 14 inches inches tall from head to toe-She is a LOVE doll. She is wearing a leopard print fabric outfit with matching sandals, and head wear. She has small black braids hanging down one side of her beautiful face.
