About scanning, condition rating & returns: I attempt to match the print quality on my monitor as closely as possible to the print. The actual tonal quality and resolution appears better in print form, as a rule, in my opinion. Any damage due to wear, mishandling, pasting, taping, fading from time, etc. will be described verbally if it is not apparent in the scan, and often in addition to the scan. Scans will often show enlargement of the entire print or details. Please read the dimension at the top of the description for the actual size of the print. Please note : ratings are for the SURFACE of the print and not the verso. I will almost always mention any album paper residue, tape, glue, writing, etc. on the back of the print. My ratings are: Mint = perfect, no sign of wear or aging (fading or oxidation) Very� good +++ = near mint, very little sign of wear or aging Very Good + = minor sign of wear or aging which isn't very visible. Very Good� = some signs of wear, damage or aging which don't detract� much. � � Good = definite signs of wear, aging or damage which often accompany photographs that are decades or over a century in age. Generally, a good rating will include a verbal description, especially if it is not apparent in the scan. Fair = usually a very good image which has, unfortunately, come under heavy wear, damage or has faded significantly. Poor = a rare example of an extremely damaged or aged photo which still retains redeemable qualities, either for historical or documentary considerations or has aesthetic qualities which has been enhanced by the poor condition.
