This immaculate Ethiopian shield is in outstanding condition measuring 26" in diameter and peak of shield is 9" high. The craftsmanship of this ancient shield is quite superb the handle is tight and all tooling and forming of hide would make any leather smith proud. This is so defined to me it resembles the shell of an alligator turtle. The patina is rich I have only dusted not to disturb any of the gained qualities time has lent it. This piece is in superb condition and would be battle ready now. If you would like additional photos please feel free as I know my camera skill are in need of improvement.
