The green Elephant is hand carved from Verdite a fairly rare gem and the few known deposits are found in the Barberton district of South Africa, w gold was first found. Believed to cleanse the blood, reduce toxicity and improve oxygenation within the body. Thought to soften abrasive character traits and is of great value in African traditional medicine. The Elephant is about 6.5 inches long and stands about 5.5 inches tall at the trunk and has some very good detail to it and it will make a great addition to any collection you may have or this would be a great start. It is beleaved that when an elephant has his trunk in the air that it is a sign of good luck.
