African Mask - Horizontal Butterfly - Bwa Hawk People - Burkina Faso 80 in Hight - 11 in Weight - 8 1/2 in Depth Sculpted by the Bwa People in Burkina Faso (between 1940 and 1950) The medium is teak wood and vegetable dies. This authentic african mask has been a part of my collection for a long time. They have not been moved from my walls since they were installed about 10 years ago. The may have collected dust on the top, but other than that they seem to be pretty much in the same condition as they were when I acquired them. I am selling it as is, and the sale is final. The reason I am selling it is because I am moving to a smaller apartment and I cannot keep it. I used to have a certificate of Authenticity by York's Shona Gallery (Dealers in Fine African Art) I have not been able to find it, however, you are free to get it appraised yourself. NOTE: Please, understand that packing the mask for shipping is NOT an option. If you are interested in buying this item, keep in mind that you will have to come personally (or send someone to represent you) to pick up the mask at my residence. You will have to take it from the wall (it is just hanging, and I have ladder that you could use).
