Agnes Rudd Antique Lulworth Castle Watercolour PaintingFree Mainland UK And Ireland Delivery Description: An excellent townscape watercolour on artist's paper, signed "A. Rudd" and dating circa Circa 1900 - 1920. Framed - approx 15 X 12 inches (38.1 X 30.48cm).This is an excellent English Impressionist watercolour dating from the early 20th C period. The townscape depicts a wonderful view of a castle rising above a row of Georgian style houses. Figures walk towards the viewer across a bridge. Smoke billows from the chimneys of the houses which are towered by the impressive castle beyond. The image is quite possibly of Lulworth Castle. A beautiful impressionist watercolour from the early 20th Century.The work is signed "A. Rudd" lower left for "Agnes Rudd". Date: The watercolour probably dates to around Circa 1900 - 1920. Artist Biography: Agnes J. Rudd - British - (Active 1880 - 1938) Listed Artist. Lived in the Dorset area. Framing: Later plain moulded Pine. Finish: Gilt.The watercolour is mounted on board and has a brown mount. Condition: The painting regains good colour for its age. The artist's paper has very slightly discoloured, only adding to character and authenticity.
