KO IMARI AI-KAKIEMON DEEP DISH - The authentic masterpiece of Arita kiln, from mid Edo period - Authentic Ko Imari ( Old Imari ware ), 'Ai-Kakiemon' ( Blue Kakiemon style ) Deep dish ( Porringer ) with 'Hana- karakusa ' ( flower arabesque ) design, and a sign of 'Uzufuku' (= Nijukaku Uzufuku : Provable sign of Ko Imari, Kakiemon, and Kutani ware / means 'Happiness' ) at the backside (* picture#9 ), from mid Edo period around mid-late18th century. * Size : about D 6.4 x H 1.8 in (16 x 4.5 cm) Sophisticated and exquisite color balance of characteristic Ko Imari blue glaze and milky white surface. T his dish is the genuine and examplary Museum-quality Ai-Kakiemon ware of the era even if you also understand by checking its pictures and comparing with the other pieces. The condition is mint with No remarkable cracks and repairs but 2 'hotsu' (tiny chips) at the edge (* picture#10 ).
