On the morning of November 22, 1963 President Kennedy flew into Carswell AFB in Fort Worth, Texas, attended a breakfast event, reboarded and flew to Love Field in Dallas. (After the assassination the plane flew from Love Field to Andrews AFB outside Washington DC.)
In a recent estate sale I found these original Kodak 35mm slides with the pictured message attached reading PRESIDENT'S ASSASSINATION - Should this film contain pictures taken of President Kennedy's assassination, call your local FBI office immediately. Kodak Processing Laboratory . I've never seen that before. What the 21 slides show is Air Force One at Carsell AFB in the dark. It looks like the plane is arriving but could just as easily be taking off...the plane, motorcycle police, shiny new cars and such can be seen. I don't see President Kennedy but these do like they were taken from pretty close to the action.
All are in fine condition with no apologies.
