1950s USAF Rate of Climb Indicator AN 5825 Here's a nice little military aircraft instrument offered in as-removed, un-tested condition. Unit is a AN 5825 Rate of Climb Indicator - one that would have been found in a whole host of 1950s era Century series fighter and trainer aircraft - ranging from the Lockheed T-33 trailer to the fighting jets like the F-84, F-89, F-100, etc. to transports and bombers. Pretty common to most anything in USAF inventory in the 1950s and 60s. Here's the information as printed on the data plate on the rear of the instrument: INDICATOR, RATE OF CLIMB AN5825T6 STOCK NO. 6025 - 716BU - 8 -036 ORDER NO AF- 27524 SERIAL NO AF52-6244 KOLLSMAN INSTRUMENT CORPORATION DESIGN MANUFACTURED BY RYAN INDUSTRIES, INC. The contract number denotes this one was build for the USAF sometime on or after 1952. Standard 3 1/8 inch panel mount instrument. LOOOOOONG cased instrument - about one inch longer than the WWII-era RoC instruments. Condition is superb. It's say it rates a 8.5 to 9 on a 1-10 scale with 10 being perfect. Nice creme-colored face markings. Appears to be a NON-RADIUM faced instrument. No indication of dust or dirt or moisture or bugs behind the instrument glass.
