Size 38. Good condition except w noted. Holes (4) in leather range in size from 1/8" round to 1" long by 1/4" wide. The last pictured hole (1 x 2) is in the upper satin part of the lining. The lower part of the lining is wool or mohair and the worn places are shown. The belt is missing. The leather name tag (Lieut. F. Massey) is sewn under the left pocket flap. Much of the stitching holding the tag on is loose. F. Massey may well have been Forsyth Massey, who later became a Rear Admiral and Fleet Air Commander at Quonset Point, Rhode Island. The left sleeve outer panel is lightly faded. (probably from sunshine) All leather is soft and pliable. Knit cuffs are in perfect condition as shown. All zippers, buttons, and snaps work perfect. The maker, Willis and Geiger also made equipment for Teddy Roosevelt, Roald Amundson, Amelia Earhart, Charles Lindbergh, Jacqueline Cochran, Sir Edmund Hillary, the Flying Tigers, and Ernest Hemingway.
