This is a rare section of aluminum airframe.The section still has large amount of green,black and white paint still on it the section has been bent up by the impact of the crash the part has been cleaned but would clean up more with effort it is 7 inchs long and 5 inchs wide and a nice piece of battle of Britain history it is perfect for display or any collection.The part came from RAF Hurricane work number R4187 flown by F/L Stanley Dudley Pearce Connors which was shot down and crashed at Wallington 18/8/40 during the Battle of Britain 1940. Flight Lieutenant Stanley Dudley Pearce Connors of No 111 Squadron flew in France and shot down 3 He 111's, a Bf 109 and 2 Ju 88's for which he was awarded a D.F.C. in May of 1940. He was later awarded the Bar to his D.F.C. His final score was 11 kills for the conflict. Flight Lieutenant Connors was then killed on 18th of August 1940 when his Hurricane I (R4187) was hit by A.A. fire during an attack on a Do17 near Wallington. F/Lt.
