Up for auction or BUY IT NOW is a vintage AKAI X-150D Reel to Reel Tape Deck, player/recorder. I have taken this apart and serviced this as follows. I have worked on many AKAI and other reel to reel decks I have sold on eBay over the last 10 years. It works great and in very good condition.I have done a visual inspections for burned components, replaced main power fuse. I have removed any grime, dust or dirt that I could cleaned the best I could. Wood cabinets have been cleaned and oiled. Transport mechanism was cleaned and re-lubricated. Output / input jacks and switches were cleaned and sprayed with professional electronic cleaner. Tape belt path and belts were cleaned and belts rejuvenated using a special cleaner. The heads, guides have been cleaned and demagnetized. Faceplate and all knobs have been cleaned. The rubber pinch roller has been rejuvenated using professional rubber re-conditioner. The brakes and rubber roller wheels have also been cleaned and are in excellent condition. The light for the VU meters and record function have been checked and work. The fast forward and play cams are in like new condition with no cracks or breaks and have been cleaned and greased. This is very rare to find them in this condition! All moving parts that require oiling have been lubricated or greased. No electronic adjustment have been made. read more
