For sale is one vintage AKAI X-330 reel to reel tape player. The player is 100% functional and in good working condition. All of the controls work well and the unit plays good. Both VU meters work, all lights and counter work as do both speakers. The cooling fan is operational and quiet. There is some static when the volume knob is turned, so that potentiometer could use a cleaning if you are not using an external amp. The player comes with two 10 ½” Scotch metal reels and 3600 feet of Scotch 203 professional polyester tape. Also included is the original manual and the DR-110 patch cord to plug into preamp / receiver. The unit was used on top of a rack system and the previous owner removed the plastic feet as shown in the photo of the bottom. The wood case lid is included and is in good condition. On the case lid there are the two latches and two half-hinges, but their mating pairs were removed from the player itself. The unit is rather heavy, weighing over 45 pounds.
