Used Akai 4000D reel to reel stereo / mono tape recorder in working order. It comes with one full and one empty 7 inch spools, and an operator's manual. Tape speeds: 3.75 or 7.50 ips (inch per second) Maximum recording times: 4 hours monaural recording at 3.75 ips (1200 foot tape); 2 hours stereo recording at 3.75 ips. Recording level indicator: 2 VU meters. Recording system: 4 - track stereo / monaural system. Controls: Play, Record (with left and right level controls), Pause lever, Fast Forward, Fast Rewind, Power/Automatic shut-off switch (if tape breaks or runs out). Connections: I used RCA (phono) leads to test this item (not supplied) Additional: The manual lists things that I don't understand eg. WOW and FLUTTER, so if you want this information, please contact me. Dimensions: 315 x 405 x 180 mm, and weighs in at 11.5 kg.
