Repaired tea cup> This comes fresh out of my sisters home. She got it as a gift in 1945 (as he wrote on the lid)Many years ago (if my mother was alive, she could tell you the exact date and minute) my sister dared to take the set of the shelf with out asking, and one of the teacups fell and cracked exactly in half. So, it got glued with that old brown glue I think Lepage glue. Well, anyway, my sister felt so terrible that the set when on the shelf for the rest of her life.The lid was dripped on on that bottom shelf, so, it is in the condition, that I photographed for you.Who knew that 66 years later the set would go up for sale to help my sister with health costs. Life , sure does take a turn.It is a very nice 1940's Child's Tea Set made by the Akro Agate Co., Clarksburg, W.Va. Lid of the Box says "The Little American Maid Tea Set and side of the box has a No. 335.TWENTY ONE pieces in total. Measurement of Box is about 12 x 14". Set consists of 4 Blue Saucers w/4 Green Cups, 4 Sm. Blue Bowls,4 large green dessert plates, Lg. and small Blue Creamers w/White Lids and a Sm. Blue Creamer. All pieces are in very good condition.(except the green cup I mentioned) May have some slight roughness on a few of the pieces edges, but typical of how they came out manufactured!This set is looking for a good home.
