Your bidding on a limited edition signed lithograph Looney Tunes "After the Show" by Al Hirschfeld . It is #215 of 350.
This item has been hanging over my entertainment center for around ten years and I am planning to retire and relocate later this year and sadly this will not fit into that world. The humor of this lithograph is that's a not just a caricature of the Looney Tunes cartoon characters but of Hirschfeld himself and his work. Bugs, Taz, Foghorn, Pepe, and Yosemite are in Sardi's Restaurant, the "After the Show" crowd's hangout. They are in this setting surrounded by the legends' own caricature caricatures. Included are Bing, Bob, Babs, Sammy, Horowitz, Matthau, Cab, Carol and even a self portrait of Mr. Hirschfeld himself in his later years. He has sadly since passed just shy of 100 years old. The requisite "NINA" (his daughters name ever present in is works) can been seen on the "Playbill" being held by Bugs. This item is authentic & comes complete with an embossed Certificate of Authenticity from the Warner Bros. Studio Store Gallery. Size: 19" x14" drawing in a 30"x25" frame. Framing is the original job by WBSSG.; Condition: Great! Listen, this has been in my home for a decade on a wall, out of the sun and not archived at the Louvre hermetically sealed in a glass chamber. It's real art by a modern master, and it's a hoot to look at daily! SHIPPING This item will be shipped in a timely matter but it may take a day or two to package properly for shipment. I anticipate shipping charges to be approximately $100.00 UPS ground Los Angeles to N.Y. with insurance. If the buyer wants it faster or a different carrier I will try to make ever effort to comply with their wishes, at the buyers expense, of course!
