AL KALINE DETROIT TIGERS 1954(?) TOPPS #201 - exceptionally good

During a trip to the USA in the early 1950's, my sister brought some Topps baseball cards, including this one, back to Australia as a present for me. Baseball is not a very popular sport , and was even less popular back then. The result was that these cards were simply placed in a box, stored in a cupboard, and essentially forgotten until I was cleaning up recently. So you can imagine the quality of this card. To the best of my knowledge, this is an original card, but since it was a gift, and which I received over 50 years ago, I cannot guarantee that fact.

I have no experience in grading cards, however the edges are sharp, and t are no marks or any sign of wear on the card. I would rate it as exceptionally good, if not close to mint condition.

POSTAGE: For Australian bidders, I shall only send this item by REGISTERED POST, plus Extra Cover if the value exceeds $100.

For USA bidders, whilst this item is light enough to go as an airmail letter, letters CANNOT be insured nor have a logged Customs Declaration. I shall NOT send it without Extra Cover ( also known as INSURANCE ), which means that it MUST go by air parcel post for it to have Extra Cover. Stupidly I even have to package it bigger than a large letter! The basic air parcel post rate to the USA would be $10.80. The insurance cover on top of that is $8.10 for the first $100 or part tof, plus $2.15 for every additional $100 or part tof. Bidders from other countries should email for a postage cost. A Customs Declaration MUST be attached to parcels accurately describing the contents, and declaring a value for the item. Overseas bidders should make their own enquiries as to the effect ( if any ) of this Customs Declaration.
