This is a new or very close to it AL MAR fixed blade knife measuring 6" and has a blade that is 3.3" in length. On one side it has the AL MAR logo next to the words AL MAR. On the other side it has Japan printed in ink that's faded. This knife sat in storage for 10-15 or so years and was an inheritance by someone who just loved to go to shows and pick up a knife or two, but never use them. So, I believe it is unused. Condition is very good. Included is knife and sheath. NO BOX or documentation. The storage was dry, meaning no rust or corrosion whatsoever on the knife. This and my other auctions end on Friday eve. If you want shipment by Saturday, 4 November, please PayPal funds by 10am EST. **** Standard Disclaimer **** Updated 3 July - I am not a knife person per se , but can read the printing on the box, sheath (IF incl.) or knife. I am trying to give an honest assessment from a non-expert . As time goes by and I after I have been doing this for almost a year, I am getting a good feel for the terminology used and now look for and know how to recognize steel quality markings , manufacture and county of manufacture from auctioning so many knives. As such I can now make better descriptions than those made several months ago when I started. If t are signs of wear, defects or not being new, I will describe in detail. These knives were all owned by one person who carried the same old knife until it wore out or broke. The others were just collector's pieces. *** Payment *** When the auction closes and I am paid, I will leave positive feedback. Due to the headaches of taking and cashing checks, please use PayPal. I can accept Money Orders only from the US POST OFFICE if necessary. If you pay via money order, please e-mail so that that I know to expect a letter. * If you are satisfied with the merchandise, please leave positive feedback as well. * I do not use Buy it now , nor will I end auctions early. **** SHIPPING **** If you win multiple auctions, please wait for an invoice. If you are anxious and want to figure out your own postage; take the highest listed shipping cost per method of all items and add a $1 per item. Yes, I know it is not the most accurate way of doing determining shipping costs, but it is easiest. I like to send several items to a single winner in one package, but don't want to lose money on the postage. The base cost of Priority Mail is now $4.05 and I require delivery confirmation as it makes it easy to know when an item has been delivered. Priority Mail delivery confirmation is $0.50. Delivery confirmation on parcel post and 1 st class is now $0.60. I offer optional insurance, which starts at $1.35 for the first $50.00 and goes up form t See for insurance costs on orders over $50.00. NOTE: If you live near Washington DC/Northern Virginia Priority mail would be a waste IMHO (in my humble opinion) as it just gets a package to a distant city via plane rather than truck. I will ship to U.S. addresses only. I sent a few items to Canada and England, but the effort to send was just too much stress (I sweat the small stuff). Lastly, good luck on your bidding and thanks J
