Circa 1990 Al Mar SF-10 Survival Model #4010 Saw-Back 10" Blade, Hollow Handle Original Box & Leather Sheath Rare, Custom Quality Knife - Don't Miss your Chance! New Unused Condition! Al Mar SF-10, Saw-Back Blade, Hollow Handle. It is in Factory New Condition with the original box with the original leather sheath. The blade is 10" and it is 15-5/8" overall. Model 4010. It comes with the original fine leather sheath made by Tex Shoemaker & Son of San Dimas, California. The sheath is brown leather and holds a sharpening stone. This is an early knife because of the leather sheath. The knife is made using a unique triplebond procedure which ensures that the blade, guard and stainless steel handle will withstand all but the most abusive applications. The handle hosts a durable cord wrap that has been secured into place using an industrial epoxy. Resistance to moisture contamination is accomplished thru a rubber "O" ring which seals the storage compartment. DETAILED DISCRIPTION: An awesome older Al Mar. Hard to find 15 5/18" older Survival knife in the orginial Box with the orginal Sheath. The knife, stone or sheath have never been carried, used or re-sharpened. The knife has NEVER been in the sheath. PLEASE NOTE: Although the knife is in Factory Brand New in the box condition, the "grind" of the upper part of front side of the knife shows 2 or 3 uneven Grinding/Polished areas. They can be seen under certain light & blade angle conditions. It came brand new from the Al Mar Factory this way, so I don't consider it a big issue. The rest of the blade including the center section & the edge are 100% perfect. The rest of the knife is also 100% Perfect. The box shows some shelf wear & is slightly torn on one end of the bottom of the box. Please see pictures. It's a Gorgeous & one of a Kind, Awesome Knife! Huge, Beautiful & Gorgeous Looking Knife!!!
