The Crisis Center is a non-profit United Way agency in Birmingham, Alabama. Since 1970, the Crisis Center has been responding to individuals in crisis by providing comprehensive services that result in healing, improved mental health, positive life relationships and overall well-being. A United Way agency, the Crisis Center is a 501c 3 non-profit agency that operates 7 programs. These include our Crisis & Suicide Hotline; Rape Response; Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Program; Kid's Help Line; Teen Link; Senior Talk Line; and the Mental Health Association. We have over 200 volunteers who participate in these programs. The Crisis Center is open 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. We have been selling on Ebay since 2000, and have a 100% positive feedback rating from over 6,500 unique Ebay buyers. We are conducting a special auction of uniforms and firesuits to raise money for one of our programs, Piper Place, which is a day rehabilitation program for adults who have a serious mental illness. This is a print by artist Rick Rush titled Return to Power. It is from the University of Alabama's 2008 Football Season when they were the SEC West Champions, and went 12-0 in the regular season. This 36" x 24" print is an artist proof, and is signed by the artist Rick Rush. It is also autographed by Alabama players Antoine Caldwell and Glen Coffee. read more
