This FINELY CARVED BELUGA WHALE is signed by the NATIVE CARVER~~QUINTEN OSEUK.

Using COLORFUL~FOSSIL WALRUS IVORY the BELUGA is cruising slowly looking for it's next meal.

NOTICE THE EYES of BALEEN , and also that the Whale is mounted to the FOSSIL WALRUS IVORY BASE with a SMALL ROD OF BALEEN.

This Beluga measures 2.75 inches long and is .75 inches across at the bottom of the flukes.

The Fossil Ivory Base is .75 inches in diameter.

Following are some interesting facts about the Beluga:

The Beluga Whale is a toothed whale that lives in cold Arctic and sub-Arctic waters. Belugas are very social animals, congregating in pods of 2-25 whales. They are slow swimmers who are hunted by killer whales , polar bears , and people.

Diet : The Beluga is a carnivore (meat-eater). It hunts and eats bottom-dwelling prey, including fish , squid , crustaceans , octopi , and worms. The Beluga uses echolocation to locate the prey.
