CHUSAN Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Co. 1950 An elegant passenger liner built by Vickers-Armstrong at Barrow, completed in 1950 for P&O's service from London to the Far East and cruising. She was of 24,215 tons with accommodation for 474 1st and 514 Tourist Class passengers. Made her last passenger sailing to Bombay in January 1970, continued to operate as a cruise ship until withdrawn from service in March 1973. She was broken up in Taiwan later that year. This is a 1:1250 scale metal model made in Germany by Albatros ( No. AL 125). It is 6.5in (16.5cm) long with fine detail and is in excellent condition, fully painted. There is a some paint loss to the top of the funnel (see photo) and on the front mast. The wooden base and glass cover shown in the photo is not included.
