ALBUM OF SILVER JUBILEE, EDWARD V111, AND CORONATION STAMPS
This album is a William Gibbons specialty album designed to hold the three different sets of stamps. The first set is the Silver Jubilee set of 62 sets of stamps issued during the Jubilee year of 1935 to commemorate the twenty-fifth anniversary of the reign of King George V. The second set is the King Edward V111 issues of 1936. The Great Britain set is in singles and also blocks of four. The other stamps in this set are the British Offices in Morocco. There are two from the British Zone, two from the French Zone, four from the Spanish Zone and three from the International Zone of Tanzier. The third set is the Coronation Issues. These stamps include those from Great Britain, Offices in Morocco, Aden, Antigua, Ascension, Bahamas, Barbados, Basutoland, Bechuanaland Protectorate, Bermuda, British Guiana, British Honduras, British Solomon Islands, Canada, Cayman Islands, Ceylon, Cook Islands, Cyprus, Dominica, Falkland Islands, Figi, Gambia, Gibraltar, Gilbert and Ellis Islands, Gold Coast, Grenada, Hong Kong, Jamaica, Kenya and Uganda, Leeward Islands, Malta, Mauritius, Montserrat, Nauru, New Guinea, Newfoundland, New Zealand, Nigeria, Niue, Northern Rhodesia, Nyasaland Protectorate, Papua, Saint Helena, Saint Kitts-Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Somaliland Protectorate, Southern Rhodesia, Straits Settlements, South West Africa, Swazieland, Trinidad and Tobago, Turks and Caicos Islands, Union of South Africa, and Virgin Islands. The album and the stamps in it are in very good condition. Approximately twenty stamps have become detached from their hinges and are loose. All the stamps in the album seem to have nice margins. If you have any question or want to see particular stamps, please ask. I have counted the pages in this album and they total 39 pages. I also counted the stamps and got a total of 483 stamps. Please allow for a miscount by a page or stamp or two due to human error. As already stated, this album was designed to hold these sets and it is complete and in a few cases there are plate blocks as an extra. Stanley Gibbons is the name attributed to the album, not William.
