Trio of Mid century Folk Art Primitive oil paintings from the estate of Magda Gabor (Trustee Zsa Zsa Gabor) sold at Ames Auctions in 1998 with auction estimate of $300 to $450 plus buyer's premium (see photos 6, 7 and 8). They were unframed at that time and have since been framed in heavy frames. Trio of fantasy Folk Art paintings in the tradition of Rousseau (only one is signed): 1. Eve and the snake (Adam is over on the right hand side), 19-1/2" x 23-1/2" sight size oil on panel (framed size: 21-1/2" x 25-1/2") unsigned; 2. Animals, 19-1/2" x 23-1/2" sight size oil on panel (framed size: 21-1/2" x 25-1/2", signed lower right area: Alcala, Mexico; 3. Adam and Eve, 19-1/2" x 23-1/2" oil on panel (framed size: 21-1/2" x 25-1/2") unsigned. We're letting the bidders decide what they want to pay, No Reserve!
