This is not an incomplete/partial manuscript as others are offering on Ebay. Over 150 manuscript pages in excellent condition. This is a reproduction of the pre-publication manuscript circulated prior to printing of the 1st edition of the Big Book (Alcoholics Anonymous). Professionaly bound. This exact copy of the Multilith Edition, now called the Original Manuscript, is really special. The original belonged to The Home Brewmeister and was the ONLY copy of the actual Multilith printing known to exist, anyw T is stuff in , including profanities, that you will never see in any blue covered Book. Learn how AA was done before the Steps were written, before psycobabble replaced experience. When drunks knew this was life or death. Read what sobriety was like before rehabs, clubs, Thumpers, or even Old Timers. This stuff is raw, real, and good. EXCITING READING! The stories are unedited, and most were transcribed from actual talks at meetings. Truly a delight and a great gift for a sponsor. It has the wording of the Steps before they were edited by a NY professional. Most of it was written in 1938. This edition even includes a story that the AA member refused permission to print in the First edition when he found out w the profits were going. The text is an exact reproduction of the original (1938 typewriter font), mistakes, blurrs and all. It's a bit hard to read in places due to the condition of the original. NOTE: Clarence H. Snyder - "The Home Brewmeister had his last drink on February 11, 1938. He carried a medallion made from a silver dollar and a watchfob up until just before his death on March 22, 1984. It has been dated back into the mid-1940's, if not before, and the holes represent 46 years of sobriety. Clarence started AA group #3 in Cleveland in 1939, and in the beginning had a higher recovery rate than Bill and Dr. Bob combined. His story, "Home Brewmeister", can be found on page 297 of the Big Book. Additionally I'm including four page prints of photos from the working manuscript of 1939 with suggested text changes marked-up by Hank Parkhurst, Bill Wilson, Ruth Hock, etc. Included are the original marked-up "Forward" to the first edition, the marked-up first two pages of chapter 5 "How it Works", and a copy of the first page of the story "Ace Full --Seven--Eleven", the only story in the original manuscript never to be included the the BB - includes the first and last name of this story's author written at the top of the page. Very, very interesting text. - Buyer pays $5.50 priority 2-3 day shipping in the US and $12 international global priority 4-6 day. PAYPAL, Check, Money Order accepted.
