Use the right arrow to see more photosThe artist titled this doll: " Aleksei Plays the Cello at Queen's Hall."Aleksei is an original by Brad Deville of Deville Doll Designs, Clinton, Arizona. He is made of porcelain and is fully jointed. I purchased nearly a dozen of Brad's dolls from 2007 to 2009 before he passed away. These are all very high quality dolls with wonderfully detailed clothing. I have several listed currently in separate auctions. These are highly desirable collectors items.An original doll by Brad Deville. The following is quoted from the Certificate of Authenticity which will be included with the doll: "Aleksei wears a traditional white tie and white silk taffeta vest with his black dupioni tuxedo. His tuxedo jacket is fully lined with silk charmeuse and is gently removable. The trousers have usable side pockets. He has chosen a deep-pink rose for his lapel. For escorting Miss Lucie to a late dinner, Aleksei will don a white silk scarf and his formal cloak lined with deep blue taffeta. To complete the ensemble, he wears his top hat and carries his silver-headed walking stick.Like all ov my dalls, Aleksei is a fully-jointed all-porcelain doll. He stands at six inches tall. He has dark brown hair and China-painted blue eyes. Aleksei's head turns and can move up and down to interact with other dolls. He can sit comfortably in most miniature 1:12 scale furniture. Aleksei is my original design. Signed by Artist: Brad Deville 4/23/07"This gentleman comes with accessories that will allow you to use him in many different scenes. He is made of porcelain with movable joints and is highly posable. He moves head, arms, elbows, legs and knees. He has a cape, top hat and cane for outdoors. Not shown is a piece of white silk ribbon he can wear as a scarf. Once he arrives, he can play his cello, with his somewhat oversize bow. Not shown but included is a high-quality case for the cello. He is very fine work and would be a tremendous addition to your miniature collection. The cello and case are not originals, but are extremely detailed and well made. He stands six inches high.I paid $174.95 plus shipping for him without the cello and case, but I believe he is worth much more. I have several more original Brad Deville dolls currently listed separately.After searching out the best for over 30 years I must down-size my collection to fit into a much smaller space.
