9" Alexander c1936 WENDY ANN Composition "SPANISH" GIRL Tagged, All-Original Description Adorable composition 9” WENDY ANN by Madame Alexander is all-original Spanish Girl, made circa 1936. The doll is clean and in excellent condition, only gently handled, marked: “WENDY ANN // MME. ALEXANDER // NEW YORK”. Dress is tagged “Madame Alexander // NEW YORK, U.S.A.” She has a sweet perfect painted face with blue eyes, black upper lashes, brown brows, rosy cheeks, hands & knees, and red mouth; the black mohair wig frames her face and does not look cut. Her composition has the original paint and finish with no crazing and no cracks. Jointed at neck, shoulders & hips, the arms are slightly bent at the elbow. Her one-piece blouse, skirt and bloomers have no stains and no rips; a mantilla of black lace tops her head, while original & perfect red leatherette side-snap shoes and rayon knit socks complete the costume, and she comes from the original-owner, non-smoking home.
