Lovely Madame Alexander FRENCH 8” Bent Knee doll the “Friends from Foreign Lands" series, circa 1966. All original, in excellent, near-mint condition ( maybe just very VERY slight shelf dust ). Sweet high-color face , with a wonderful ‘ matte finish ’ - gives a porcelain look to her face; wonderful rosy cheeks , big hazel eyes open & close. Tagged outfit is excellent; blouse sleeve elastic still tight. Lace trimmed slip & pantaloons in nice condition (pantaloons waist elastic stretched - could use a stitch or two). Nice brunette hair styled in flip curls. She wears slip-on shoes & white socks and carries her original basket of flowers attached with pink wire. Bonnet chin strap is stretched but still displays well. Body is in excellent shape, nicely strung, knees bend, arms pose well. No wrist tag or box. PLEASE SEE ALL PHOTOS. Stand not included. My Doll Creed : “ When you own an old doll, you own a piece of history. Old dolls are wonderful - no matter their condition - because they were once loved by a child and have a history. Don’t dismiss them for their flaws, but rather cherish them for their legacy and enjoy the treasure of their heritage”. ALL SALES FINAL .
