This is an extraordinary piece. It is an ultra rare signed piece of Alexander Korda's jewelry, in the form of a dagger with 'horn' handles and marching elephants on the scabbard. There is a marquise shaped turquoise stone set between the horn pieces. The piece has size, measuring 4 1/2" long, with almost all of the original gold plated surface still intact. The pinback is in nice shape, with locking mechanism fully functional. Lovely scrollwork above the turquoise and horns on the 'handle' portion. The three elephants are interesting, marching in a row, with the third carrying some sort of royal 'box' (a carriage type device for an elephant) for holding a king or queen I suppose. Lovely details, great condition. The horns do move slightly, but I believe this is due to how they are set. They are secure, even with the movement. A great form form the 1940's period, Jungle Book related probably, or the "Thief of baghdad." Either way, a rare find and a treasure to add to a collection. Any questions, please email. Good luck and !!
