Beautiful Alfred Meakin

"Fair Winds" Salad Plates - Set 4!

A wonderful set of four Alfred Meakin 7" salad plates in the popular "Fair Winds" pattern. This pattern features images of American icons such as the U.S.S. Constitution, Canton Port, and New York Harbor in 1830.

The artist's rendering of the ports include exquisite details of various sailboats and the communities w they docked. Alfred Meakin used brown transfer scenes derived from copper engravings for this exquisite china.

These vintage historical plates measure 7" across. They are in very good vintage condition. One plate has two very small chips on the rim, nothing major. The other three plates have no chips. No other cracks or damages we can see. T are some slight imperfections that occurred during the making of the china, showing the beauty of how they were made.

Back of the plates are marked: Fair Winds, Original Copper Engravings, depicting historical scenes of Chinese export to America, U.S.S. Constitution engaging Chinese junks. Permanent colors, dishwasher and detergent safe. Alfred Meakin, Staffordshire, England.

Be sure to add this charming set to your collection!

Don't miss this great opportunity!
