Up for bid is an all original figural gas portable lamp.The figural is of a explorer(Columbus?) with a outstretched arm.He is holding a bird.The lamp has it's original gilt finish and is fitted with a very early 4" shade.The shade is mouth blown and is etched with swirls and dots.The leaves are cut into the shade.T is a minor "seed" in the shade that was from the manufacturing process.As can be seen in the pictures the lamp is still fitted for gas and works beautifully.The gas hose is NOT INCLUDED with the lamp and is used for illustrated purposes only.The figure sites on a stepped base pedestal with a soapstone base.T is a small seperation on the outer ring cover.This is shown in one of the pictures.The pedestal sits atop a soap stone base.The lamp is approximately 12.5" tall without the shade and 17" tall to the top of the shade.The diameter of the shade is approximately 7".This is a spectacular lamp and shade with will be a great addition to any collection.This lamp is being offered with no reserve.If you have any questions please email.Thanks for looking.
