The Allagash by Lew Dietz signed 1st edition and 1st printing. Published by Holt Richard & Winston, New York 1968. Illustrations by George Loh. 264 pages containing text, notes, bibliography, and index.Very good + condition with green cloth covered boards. Some minor wear and fading on the outer edges and and on tail and head of spine. Gold gilt on blue title block.Dust jacket is in good unclipped condition. With tanning to the spine. Some edgewear with minimal chipping. Slight foxing on top and bottom foredges of the text block.Inscribed on the front free end paper;"The book presented to Clifford G. McIntire by Austin H. Wilkins, Maine Forest Commissioner, on the occasion of the dedication of the new faculty building at the University of Maine, Orono, Maine on August 22nd, 1968."Also has Clifford G. McIntire's book plate. Signed by Lew Dietz.What makes this listing one of a kind is the provenance found within the inscription and book plate. Inscribed to Clifford G.
