Sterling silver porringer, made by Allan Adler. Presentation piece - engraved on handle To David Arthur Nussbaum From Arthur M. Loew, Jr. My research indicates that Mr. Loew was a movie actor and producer in the 1950s and 60s, and was also the grandson of Adolph Zukor, founder of Paramount Pictures. Mr. Loew passed away in 1995. I have not found any info on Mr. Nussbaum. Engraving appears to be done by hand. Porringer is nice heavy weight, with no dents, dings or bends. Does have some overall fine scratches, with a few heavier ones most notable on the bottom. Underside of handle marked Allan Adler Sterling. Bowl measures 4-1/2" diameter, handle 2" long, bowl 2" tall. Will post estmated weight sometime Monday (Oct. 6). Weighs approx. 7.25 oz. Lovely old piece of sterling!
