Postcard of Alma Michigan, "A.A. & P.M. Inn Alma Mich", "Commercial and R.R. Patronage Solicited J.H. Townsend Prop.", "Opposite Union Depot" railroad, sign on building is "LUNCH ROOM Lodging Candy Cigars", and older sign with the name of a different propritor is darkened out on the roof. Really interesting postcard. Used real photo 1909, canceled Alma, sent to Sparta. Condition is very good+, sharp focus, the negative used to make the postcard has 2 vertical cracks that are visible as very faint white lines. A cracked negative is not a flaw of the postcard, hence graded very good+. Alma is located in Gratiot County, about 10 miles south of Mount Pleasant, 30 miles west of Saginaw, and 40 miles north of Lansing. Th is is 1 of many Michigan postcard auctions I am listing on ebay as I am selling my 35-year collection of real photo postcards. Abbreviations: rppc = real photo postcard, @ = estimate, my best guess, used = postal used, unused = not postal used but may have written message. W inner pays $1.50 postage and handling cost, optional insurance available at $1.70 cents additional for coverage up to $50 of actual value. Multiple auction wins shipped together to reduce total postage cost when possible.
