Here's an item filled with statistics vital to your study of the years 1894-1895, & estimates for 1895-1896. It was "Presented to Users of Sunlight+Soap with the Compliments of Lever Brothers, Ltd., and with Best Wishes for a Merry Christmas and A Happy and Prosperous New Year. 1896." I do not wish to damage the spine, so have not spread the pages of this 108 year old Almanac to show interior page pictures, but let's give you some selected headings from the Table of Contents: Army, The; Billiards; Boxing; Chess; Civil War, The; Cricket; Cycling; Distances from various Places; Etiquette; Expectation of Life; Fashions and Patterns; Flowers, Language of; Golf; Household Work; Knighthood, Orders of; Lacrosse; Lawn Tennis; Music in 1895; Navy, The; Nursing, Sick; Ocean Steamers; Post Office; Public Debt, The; Racing; Railway Accidents; Rowing; Servants; Swimming; Toilette, The; Washing; Waterloo Cup; & Yachting. Naturally, the usual Almanac information concerning Imports & Exports, Trade Balances, Births, Deaths, etc. is also contained herein. About 20 pages have a small bit of corner turned down, & the staples have begun to rust, as you might expect in a paperback that has survived 108 years. The Cover edges show some wear, but the binding is still intact & the 477 Pages are all there. A nice LIFEBUOY ROYAL DISINFECTANT SOAP ad inside the back cover. All in all, a nice antique piece of collected historical information for you. I have called this Fair to Good, not wanting to disappoint, but please see my Feedback on eBay at porchdogpup to understand that I tend to undersell rather than oversell. A wonderful addition to your Collection of Statistics of old !
