Alpa Reflex, Model 6, No. 38481, with 1.8/50mm Kern Switar lens, No. 433085; in excellent condition, showing very little wear, and mechanically sound. The latch on the case has pulled apart, there is no lens cap, and in strong light you can see some very light scratches on the lens coating. This is one of the great classic cameras, rated by at least one writer as being among the 25 best of all time. This was the first Alpa reflex to have split-ring focusing. It predates the instant-return mirror on the Alpas - the mirror returns when you let up on the shutter release. Consequently, the operation is very quiet. Shutter is 1 to 1/1000 focal plane. This camera has never been on the market, having just come from the estate of a man who bought it shortly after it was made, back around 1957, when the model 6 came out. (Strangely, after the model 7!) We accept VISA, MASTERCARD, DISCOVER, and AMERICAN EXPRESS payment via Paypal, to use this service click on below.
